Marketplace

When characters are created, they are considered to have the most basic of equipment on them; that being a weapon, clothing, and a horse. However these items are unstatted and do not grant any bonuses upon their user. Statted items can be acquired through a craftsman, as a reward, through special events, or purchased here at the marketplace.

When purchasing, post the items exactly how they appear, as well as their cost. Make sure that you have your current officer information linked in your signature otherwise your purchase will be denied. Items purchased are not in your possession or in use until confirmed by a staff member. Melee Weapons can be named for no additional fee however, when naming the item, please keep the name in line with the type and quality of the weapon. Marketplace items, other than melee weapons, can not be renamed.

Items purchased in the marketplace can be upgraded or customized through craftsmen; they can not be be upgraded through the marketplace.

[Melee Weapons]
Every warrior heading to battle needs to have a trusty weapon by their side, least they brings their fists to a sword fight. Melee weapons can include swords, axes, spears, halberds, maces, warhammers, staves, or any other historical weapon of the era. Only one melee weapon can be equipped at a time.

[Bows]
Most common amongst the nomads and peasantry, the bow has been a staple weapon of mankind for thousands of years. It allows projection of force and the ability to kill from a distance. Skill with a bow upon horseback is what allowed steppe people to frequently conquer large swathes of land across Europe and Asia, in succession, for thousands of years. Bows allow the ranged attack and, with the Archer skill, the Arrow tactics in duels.

Code: Select all
Hunting Bow (Level 1 Ranged); Cost: 200 taels
Short Bow (Level 2 Ranged); Cost: 400 taels
Composite Bow (Level 3 Ranged); Cost: 750 taels

[Crossbows]
Basically a mechanical bow that fires a bolt as opposed to an arrow, the crossbow is one of mankind's deadliest weapons. Simple to operate and able to puncture any armor, but very slow to reload, the crossbow has been a distinguished feature of Chinese armies and is a credit to their great engineering capabilites. Crossbows allow the ranged attack and, with the Archer skill, the Arrow tactics in duels.

[Armor]
When it comes to battle, ever warrior needs a weapon and armor. An unarmored soldier can only hope to achieve death in war, which is not the prospect for anyone that has something to live for. To need to keep soldiers and commanders alive has lead to great strides in technology. Chinese armor mostly consists of layered leather, cloth, and thin metal, and endured as the standard for thousands of years, even as heavy plate armors dominated the fields of Europe. Armor reduces damage received in duels and other encounters.

[Horses]
Since it's domestication, the horse has been the ultimate weapon. It drastically improves the speed, mass, power, range, and logistic ability of an individual and even an army. The demand for strong, fearless steeds has lead to specialized breeding programs to create the finest war animals in the world. Horses improve escape chances and grant an attack bonus in duels against non-mounted opponents.

Stallion (Horse, +2 Speed); Cost: 500 taels

[Jewelry]
The classes in ancient times were very well segregated. Only the rich and powerful could afford the finest items available to them, and such items did much to boost their prestige amongst their peers.
