rtkonline.net connects base stations and rovers: bases stream their corrections in, rovers log in and get
the stream of the base they choose — or the nearest one, picked for them.
What it is
A public NTRIP caster (NTRIP v1 and v2, port 2101). Any base which supports NTRIP can stream to it, and
any rover supporting NTRIP can connect.
How a connection works
A base pushes RTCM corrections to its mountpoint, a named stream on the caster.
A rover logs in with a rover account and asks for a mountpoint.
The caster relays the base's stream to the rover in real time.
NEAR: the nearest base, automatically
Connect to the mountpoint NEAR and send your position (GGA) — the caster serves the
closest online base.
Rovers that send no GGA can use the position from the mobile app instead.
With no position at all, the rover is told to pick a fixed mountpoint.
Token economy
You have one coin wallet (money) and one token wallet for all your bases.
Every shared base in the network earns you 1 token a day
while it is online — no cap, no expiry; ten bases earn ten a day. It earns once the network has
measured and approved its position, and while it is part of the VRS.
Your own rovers on your own bases use 1 token an
hour from them — on a private one 1.25, so
tokens your shared bases earn also pay for your private ones. Your token wallet may go negative down to 7 days of what your bases earn, repaid as they
earn; beyond that your rover pays coins.
On someone else's base your rover pays 1 coin an hour, and
that base's owner gets 25%.
A private base earns nothing: no tokens and no share. Rovers on it, its owner's own too, pay
25% more (tokens or coins) — the caster's fee as the middle man.
Share your base to earn.
Coins are counted to the cent: you pay for the minutes you are connected.
When your coins run out there is a grace of 24 coins before the
rover is disconnected; topping up settles it.
Mountpoints and accounts
Mountpoints are public or private. Rover accounts get access per mountpoint, so you decide who uses your
base. The sourcetable lists what is available.
The live network
The live map shows every base with its messages, satellites and sky plot. Ephemeris is
shared between bases, so every base gets a sky plot — even one that sends no ephemeris itself.

Try it in the demo
The demo units run this software around the clock with a simulated GNSS module. Log in, look around, change
things — the setup is restored automatically.
